This weekend, March 22nd & 23rd, check out our Vibro Bots workshop. Vibro Bots use vibrations to dance and skitter around, a lot like Brush Bots, except there is no brush! Learn how to make these fun twittering critters and hack our designs with our own ideas and innovations.
The following weekend March 29th & 30th, is your last chance to take part in our new, and immensely popular, Colorblock Crayon Candles workshop.
If you haven’t heard, in our Colorblock Crayon Candles class (say that 5 times fast!) we explore the phases of matter and the ancient art of candle making but in a whole new colorful way by melting down crayons and adding our own custom scents. Maker Space Resident Janelle Nunez designed the class and our workshops have never been so colorful, or smelled so good.
The Make Space’s streak of exciting new programming continues in April with Rubber Band Month. We are devoting a whole month to the lowly rubber band and exploring all the incredible things you can build with one loop of rubber, some craft sticks, and a whole lotta hot glue. Expect helicopters, propeller cars, catapults, and more!
Hope to see you soon!
The Maker Space is a learning environment where children, teens, adults and families can tinker, design, and create together.
In our workshops we use real tools to make real things and re-use everyday materials in exciting ways. From woodworking and plaster casting to electronics and 3D printing, we encourage experimentation, open-ended exploration, and believe that making mistakes is a great way to learn.
Our workshops are hands on and can get messy, so when you come to a class, don't wear your favorite shirt!
